Always Evolving

Updated: Jun 3, 2024

In my mind I envision the perfectly planned out calendar for paint classes that magically fall into place with the perfect schedule, attendance and supply chain including canvas and my own sample paintings for said classes.

In the real world, unexpected things like vehicle breakdown, random acts of violence, sudden strange health issues that necessitate lifestyle overhaul, loved ones struggling and in need of support etc. have a way of dictating the need to adjust that schedule and proceed with patience.

So, here I am working away at creating the art that challenges me, the art that comforts me and the art that allows me to lead others to finding their unique style and confidence while balancing the business and technology side of things one step at a time.

Speaking of Steps!

I've been leading the classes long enough that I have witnessed the evolution of a few of the people that are regular attendees.

Pictured here is the progression of Alissa, who has attended several classes over the past year and a half.

Last night was her last class with me for now. She is moving back home to embark on the next stage of her career. I am honoured and humbled to have been a part of her art journey.

Breaking News!

I've been getting inquiries for private parties from people who are visiting throughout the summer. I didn't really expect that to happen, especially since I have put minimal effort into marketing the past few months.

Coolio. Ha ha - I can hear my kinds cringe when I say that. Whatevs. LOL. OMG I'm on a roll.

So yeah, fair warning to my class participants. I'm a bit of a kooky granny awkward type. But I have a feeling you're my people if you're reading this. Hi mom!

OK - back to adult stuff. The unexpected inquiries have me looking at some features of my website that I haven't had to use yet. One step at a time. So tonight and maybe into tomorrow I'll be refining my booking options. I'm pretty excited to see how this looks and feels for my guests.

Not the Easter Rabbit Hole

As with any new task there's a bit of research, then testing, organizing content, writing, and publishing. I'm getting better at it and thankfully I'm efficient because being a one woman show conjures up images of New York buskers sporting a drum on their back, guitar in hand amidst a multitude of little gadgets that all come together to make music.

Stay tuned as we prepare for tour season here in Jasper!
